Atlanta, Ga. (October 27, 2000) -- For the second straight year, Intellinet Corp. has been named one of the fastest-growing privately-held companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine in its annual ranking of the Inc. 500. The Atlanta-based technology consulting firm ranked 292 on this year's Inc. 500, a report that examines the percentage increase of a company's sales from 1995 through 1999 and identifies companies and CEOs who are changing the face of American business. Intellinet, which grew by more than 900 percent over the five-year period, joins 24 other companies based in Atlanta on this year's Inc. 500 list. "Our rapid growth is evidence that more and more companies are counting on Intellinet to help them use the internet to cut costs, become more productive and grow," says Frank Bell, president and CEO. "At a time when many businesses are frustrated by the quality of expertise they're getting from internet solutions companies, we're showing that Intellinet is a firm that can be counted on." Intellinet provides a comprehensive range of technology-related services, including customized web applications, infrastructure and business intelligence. Among the company's clients are Cox Communications, BEERS Construction Company, Ericsson and Siemens Energy & Automation. Fewer than a third of the companies on the list joined Intellinet as members of the 1999 Inc. 500. To be considered for the Inc. 500, companies had to be independent and privately held through 1999; have at least $200,000 in sales in the base year (1995); and have 1999 sales that exceeded their 1998 sales total. A record 22 companies on the 2000 Inc. 500 reached the $100 million sales barrier, up from 16 companies last year. Among metro areas with the most companies on the list, Atlanta ranked fourth with 25 firms, behind Washington, D.C., New York and Los Angeles.
