Corporate Intranet Portal & Data Access Strategy Merial Corporation extends its business worldwide through 16 manufacturing sites in the animal health industry. Their need for having real-time, accurate data is critical to their success. Merial engaged Intellient to help them organize disparate information to one central portal. Microsoft’s SharePoint Server was selected because of its flexibility and ability to integrate diverse resources in a single browser-based interface. Merial employees can now have easy access to crucial data and tools; make quick business decisions by focusing only on relevant information; and improve profitability by increasing collaboration and significantly reducing duplication. SharePoint also provides a solid framework for application development. Using customized web parts, Merial now has an unlimited opportunity to build robust applications using any web development language with the ability to plug into existing back-end systems like ERP, sales force automation, or custom-built database applications. Employees can quickly and easily access pertinent internal data, external news and information feeds and collaboration tools at the speed of business.

Employee Incentive Program – Custom Application Serologicals desired to build an application tracking mechanism for its corporate employee incentive program. The program was designed to reward employees who make suggestions that solve compliance problems. Intellinet was engaged to design and build a data-driven system on Serological’s corporate Intranet to track employee suggestions, produce management tracking reports, and reward employees based on solutions that solved these issues. Intellinet linked this application to a corporate redemption center application allowing employees to select prizes and maintain a history of prizes awarded and solutions delivered, viewable by all centers.
